Homework Week 8 and Week 9
1. Area: We have been working on Area in mathematics over the last few weeks.
- Find 2 rooms that you can measure the L and the W.
- Work out how many square metres are in the space using the Area Equation, L times W.
- Record the perimeter of each room.

2. Measure a variety of items in your home and measure them using the most correct measurement.
Measurements that can be used are mm, cm, metres.

Add conversions if needed eg, 23mm can be converted to 2.3mm
3. Complete as much IXL as you are able.
4. Literacy:
Write a short story in 'present' tense. Using words such as 'is' instead of 'was', 'waits' instead of 'waited' and 'answers' instead of 'answered'.
Your short story can be in any form, eg poetry, story and must be presented on a device with the present tense highlighted so they stand out for you and me.
